Week Fifty-Three? Week One? Who can say.

Oh Darling 365

Sunday: Elwin & Troy - Boxing Day
The family gathered again for the traditional Boxing Day Barbecue.

Monday: Entertaining myself on the way to Pauanui
My darling Husband and I left for a quick jaunt to the Beach for his family (ish) reunion.

Tuesday: Pauanui Beach after the Rain
It was raining in Pauanui. Excellent beach weather.

Wednesday: Corona in the sun
It didn’t rain on Wednesday! But it was still cold for most of the day! Fan-fucking-tastic.
Actually it was really nice. I sat in the sun on the mostly sheltered balcony outside Craig and my bedroom and read and read and read. Craig went diving with his father and brothers, and his mother went to the beach with his aunt.
In the afternoon the family gathered at an adventure … place. There was a flying fox and clay pigeon shooting and a lot of better and tequila. The last two pretty much summed up the family reunion. It was fun.

Thursday: Waking up to rain again. Great.
It rained. Again.

Friday: Desert Road
Mount Ruapehu and the Desert Road.
(Can you see the scary clown face on the mountain?)
The last day of 2010 was spent driving and driving and driving and … wait for it … driving some more.
Upon arriving home we hosted a very chilled out New Years Eve party. All that we could manage after 8 hours driving.

Saturday: Kat's Back!
The first day of 2011 was celebrated with a last minute barbecue and later on, a lot of dancing to terrible/awesome music.
It was all in celebration of this lovely lady, my favourite Kat. She’s visiting all the way from Edinburgh and I was so so pleased to see her. She’s amazing.

I spent the day on the Balcony

Did you notice? I went through from 2010 to 2011. Which means … I managed all the photos for 2010!
And yes, I’m going to try and do the same for 2011.
I know you’re excited. I sure am.

"…and a lot of better and tequila…"Did you mean banter? :)Also, how godawful is my hair in that photo. The colour and the curliness and the ugh. I am so pale, too, compared to how I was when I left Taupo (read: slightly less pale). Yeesh. And my disjointed fingers, hee.

    Also also, scary clown face!

Bryan – thank you!! I hope I make it through this year again.Kat – I meant beer. Beer and Tequila. Also, I don't think your hair looks bad – just casual. But yes, your fingers are terrifying. SO GLAD that it's not just me who can see the scary clown face.
